Day Ten

Your Cookbook Page!

You should have all of your research and math equations completed at this point.
It is time to take all that information from the past week and put it all together in your cookbook page. In class today I will give you all the link to the blog site I have created and give you the class gmail and password so you can all access the blog and post your page.
Your page should be a combination of cultural information about your dish and country, along with the recipe and your PodCast cooking show.

Here is a list of the basics that should be including on your page:
•Your recipe
• Some history about your dish
• A tradition related to your dish
• Facts about culture and background surrounding your dish and country
• A history of some of the ingredients used in your dish
• Somewhere on your page have your math conversations you worked on, on the worksheets.
• Include pictures of your dish either from online resources or if you made the dish at home with your group include pictures from that event.
• Your cooking show Podcast

Below I have put some questions that you should consider when making your page:
• Why is this recipe important to the culture?
• Is it a traditional dish? If so, what is it?
• Does this dish have historical significance? - was it served to the king….
• Are the ingredients important to the economy of the country?
• Will the recipe be enough to serve the class – if not, show how to adjusted it.
• Where is the location of your country? – climate, main food source, import/export
• How is food used in this event?
• What is the significance of the dish to the culture?
• Why do you believe that this dish has become a tradition?

This page is to be a group effort of work you have all done. I would also like for you to turn in the folders for each job that you have been putting your information and worksheets into each day.
Mr. President and I are very excited to become more knowledgeable about your different countries' culture, tradition, and cuisine !
